We're Finished!

And the film is finally finished – we had a lot of post-production but we got it in on time. Thanks a million to Hugh and AnnMarie who were kind enough to re-record some of the audio due to sound problems .

So the film is finished and I’m trying to upload the thing onto the internet. However Vimeo does not seem to like massive mpeg files, so i’m trying to compress it into an internet friendly filetype. It’s taking ages.

I was gonna post up something while I wait for it to be uploaded like the intro or something but i’ve nothing else relevant uploaded.

Here’s a sample of the work myself and Phill did for the IT Factor in LiT. We had about 6 minutes of different colours and shapes so we used one part of it for the opening and closing titles of the film.

Hope to have the actual film up soon.

This is the end...my friend.(Almost)

Wow! It's been quite some time since I posted up much on the site. That's what happens when you're stealing internet from the neighbours I guess.

Well we've been doing great the past few weeks. We re-shot all the footage that was lost with Hugh and AnnMarie out at Dromore Castle. It was great to relieve the filming experience with the guys.

We're in the editing stage at the moment - and after figuring out that we shot in 4:3 and 16:9 aspect for different scenes (note: always make sure what format you're on before filming anything) we have the whole video side of the film edited.

We're currently focusing on the audio side of things now.
We have to sync up the dialog to the video track as we recorded the sound separately. We hope we won't run into any serious trouble.

Phil is also putting the music down for the project too. Can't wait to see what he comes up with, he compared doing the music/sound to "anticipating a date with a really hot girl." Sounds good to me!

Special thanks to Flaithri Neff - One of our lecturers in Limerick Institute Of Technology and also a skilled musician. He was nice enough to give us some traditional variations on a couple of tracks including a track from the classic Goblin soundtrack to George A. Romeros Dawn of The Dead.

We should have the bare bones of the film finished by Thursday then we'll probably tinker with colour correction and things like that.
